Whoa it seems the West Austin Studio Tour ha salready kicked up viewership around here - cool!  If you like what you see come visit - I'll clean the studio for ya... By the way these recent postings are photoshopped images - drawings in my mind - to see what this stuff would look like as neon or under black light

"Monistic Too Too" - (third one in the series)  36x48"  acrylic on panel
I think of it as a dialogue with these old masters - updating the imagery to current era and using the iconography to comment on realistic portraiture and how it can relate to abstraction

These are very mixed media drawings I had done or started last year and pretty much forgotten.
But - a friend visited the studio looked at all the stuff carefully - even bought one of the newer drawings (thank you so much) but was more interested in this series which at the time I had stored (buried) somewhere and could not find. I dug and finally found 'em.  even tweaked 'em a bit - compulsive behavior - and then the last image is a digital composite of two of the drawings - photoshopped - maybe more to come.
