Unfinished Movie Poem

As I was

trying

to make

my movie

of your beauty,

I kept

tripping

over the cables

of

your love.

The actors

would not act.

The light

would fall low.

My film

did not show

to any audience you know.

As I tried

to make

my movie

I lied

to the audience

of less than one:

“The cables

have come undone.

There is

no refund.”

You are welcome.

Its such a charade.

We should not be so afraid

to show

how we love

to hate

one another.

Especially now

that we have

Christmas cheer.

So

turn up the volume

of love,

pull

down the shade

of hate.
